What can you expect at LEGACY?
Every one of us will leave a legacy. It is shaped by who we are and who we become—it's unavoidable. But the greatest and most transformative legacy is found in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. From how we approach Breakout Classes to Club Time, we strive to create an experience that demonstrates this type of spiritual legacy to teenagers. Keep reading to learn more about what to expect from this youth camp/conference.
ABOUT OUR LEGACY SESSIONS:
Legacy sessions are a unique and meaningful part of our event. Correlating with our vision for this event, these sessions provide an opportunity for some of our speakers to share their personal stories. Unlike our other sessions, these are more informal opportunities for speakers to reflect on how they have witnessed God's glory through the highs and lows of their lives, inspiring us all to consider the impact of our own legacies.
ABOUT OUR BREAKOUT CLASSES:
Our breakout classes offer students and adults the opportunity to choose from our lineup of sessions tailored to each persons life and interests. In a smaller, more intimate setting, these classes provide a space to grow in faith, deepen knowledge, and build the courage to leave a Legacy that points to Christ.
ABOUT OUR KEYNOTES:
Keynote sessions are a powerful time to hear from gifted speakers who will guide us towards Christ’s legacy, using the talents and wisdom God has given them. In a worship setting, we will turn our attention to God through songs, prayers, and the preaching of His Word, drawing us together in worship at His feet.
ABOUT OUR CLUB TIME:
Club Time is a unique experience at Legacy, inspired by Faulkner University’s social club structure. Students are placed into smaller groups where they can enjoy time with peers, engaging in fun activities and meaningful conversations about spiritual matters. Our hope is that this time not only brings joy, but also helps students realize they are not along in their journey and fosters relationships with others striving to follow Christ’s legacy.
ABOUT STAYING ON CAMPUS:
One of the best parts of Legacy is the opportunity to experience life on the Faulkner University campus, like staying in college dorms and eating in the Caf. We collaborate closely with the faculty and staff to provide students and chaperones a glimpse into a school dedicated to glorifying God through the education of the whole person. With a focus on integrity of character in a caring, Christian environment, Faulkner emphasizes that every individual matters every day. We share in this mission and deeply believe in the power of Christian eduction.
